Now for my biggest complaint: the lighting in the bathroom really dreadful over-the- sink fluorescent. The waitstaff are friendly and authentic. I think you should stick with the home-made desserts. She said about half the desserts were homemade. I told the waitress and she said she would let them know. It tasted like it had a cardboard box and freezer hangover. I had a snickerdoodle for desert and ate about 3 bites. He said it was dry, I think that means overcooked and likely out of the freezer. I asked him how it was and just got an ok. It was Friday so they had a selection of fish. It was pretty darn good, and the mashed potatoes were from real potatoes. This time I had a homemade hot beef sandwich. We stopped again on our way back from a 5-day stay in a WI resort. I prefer either bread and butter or dill pickles. They are the sweet ones that taste oddly cinnamon-y. But really, can't you make better cole slaw? The pickles they have are not of my liking either. But if one is ordering a burger and fries, I guess the slaw doesn't really matter that much. The slaw could have been much more interesting. The burgers were good, the fries pretty good, the cole slaw was pretty much just cabbage and mayo, too much mayo.
#Frontier ag turtle lake wi upgrade
We both opted for the upgrade from chips to fries and cole slaw.

Mine the Swiss mushroom, his the California.

The first time we went we both ended up with burgers. It's a little hard to know what to order in a place haven't visited before. The place has an old-school diner feel with a black and white checkered floor, red vinyl chairs, white formica tables with grooved aluminum edging and decorations exclusively Coca-Cola nostalgia. The waitresses are moving fast taking your order and refilling coffee cups. The Hwy 8 roadside New Frontier restaurant is easy to spot due to all the vehicles in the parking lot.
